The struggles of finding a summer job

Summer is finally almost here and i'm gonna be honest, I have no money. I spent most of my bank account of concert tickets and airpods so it's like I am in my own mini recession. I'm also 16 which means my parents are constantly down my back about having a summer job. They think I don't want one, but the truth is, it's so hard to find one.

A lot of the places I have applied to write back with the same email saying "In the time it takes to train, summer will be over. sorry." Honestly, I don't think it's that hard to work a cash register or guide people to their dinner table, but jokes on me.

Another thing is that places hire people with experience. I am 16 years old and the only real job I have ever had is watching my neighbor's dogs. How is a teenager, who goes to school for most of the year and still wants a decent amount of social time suppose to have two years of work experience. It's ridiculous!

Image result for summer jobThis reason is probably more of my fault by my summer schedule leaves me little time at home. This summer I am gone every other week on vacation which I am all about but it sucks because businesses won't hire someone who can only commit to one week at a time.

Finding the perfect place to work is also hard. If you want to be a lifeguard you have to do all the training before hand which interferes with extra curricular activities. You can't be a server at a place that serves alcohol because you have to be over 21.  I am also a really picky person and won't do a lot of things like wash peoples hair, or dishes. BLAH

Anyways, my summer job search will continue and I will sure to be update you if I find one(cross your fingers)

My tips for tanning

My tan line from last summer I  am gonna switch things up today and I'm gonna be a beauty guru. The sun is finally coming out and that only means one thing. It's time to get tan. I love being tan, personally i think i look 10x better tan.  Honestly, I get really tan during the summer and over the years I've learned some things that help. I am sure you guys like being tan so here is my guide. 1) sunscreen. I the most important part of the summer. You've probably heard it from your mom, but sunscreen is crucial when out in the sun. You don't want to get burn (or wrinkles in the future) or more importantly cancer. I start off in the summer with SPF 30 on my body and SPF 50 for my face (make sure you get lip balm with sunscreen too!) I like using the Neutrogena Beach Defense. I smells good and does an amazing job. As I start to get tan, I will use the SPF 30 in the morning but reapply with Coppertone tanning spray which has SPF 15. This stuff is AMAZING. 2) tann...

Travel Tips- Bethany Beach, DE

Obviously when you take a trip to the beach, you want to go on the beach. Parking is quite a pain in Bethany if you don't go early. Entrances are labeled by streets and the one mistake not to make is enter the beach from the main town. The farther you are from town the easier parking will be and beach space. 2019 is the year for adventures. I am going to start a travel section on my blog to share my experiences from some of my favorite places that I encourage you to visit. I have been going to Bethany Beach since I was a baby. I know the back streets, the best restaurants and the coolest spots to have some fun. The Beach- The boardwalk has a bunch of fun beach shops and if you want to spend more time in shops then on the beach you can walk the town and go in to various places that scream summer love. I also am aware that Ice Cream is a must have when on the beach. The two best places in town is Dicky's and Khor Bros (both are soft-served). Dicky's is more conven...

Plastic is a Big NO NO

Recently our society has been very judgmental about using plastic and especially drinking out of plastic straws. At first I was confused and didn't care if I was using plastic because it was easy, but then I did my research. I found this website called 4ocean , basically its about how two men started this nationwide ocean cleanup project after seeing the disgusting trash floating in the water while they were surfing in Bali, Indonesia. After seeing how the trash threatened not only the ocean's environment but fisherman jobs they created a (now) million dollar business that helps clean the ocean. The sell bracelets that with each one sold, one pound of trash gets cleaned from our oceans.   In less than 2 years, 4ocean has removed  3,935,257(in counting)  pounds of trash from the ocean and coastlines. I have 3 bracelets and will continue to buy more, not only because they helping a good cause but they are so cute. The beads are clear and the string color will d...
